David A. Pope, CPA CGMA

David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Regis University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He initially worked as a trust accountant for the Colorado National Bank of Denver before accepting a contract as a consultant to the Resolution Trust Corporation's Western Regional Office. After completing two successful contracts, he and his family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he obtained his permit to practice in 1996.  Since that time he has created two additional CPA firms (one in Riverton, Wyoming and one in Winter Park, Colorado). Combined, those firms serve nearly two thousand clients scattered among all fifty states and several foreign countries. Mr. Pope also manages an escrow company and partnered previously in a registered investment advisory service.

In addition to regulatory compliance services, Mr. Pope's tenure includes developing complex tax and entity structuring strategies for both domestic and overseas clients, as well as litigation consulting and expert witness engagements that have won or saved his clients in the millions of dollars.

The DAPCPA group of CPA firms was developed by David Pope beginning in 1996. The firm started with three clients and today is a bustling group of three firms that serves Wyoming and Colorado, employing a dozen accountants and administrators. This is our flagship firm, located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Wyoming is considered one of the best states to do business in because of its tax and regulatory structure as well as the friendly people and motivated work-force. This firm offers a fully robust accounting and consulting product line, including Audit, Tax, Bookkeeping, litigation consulting and financial statement preparation.

This firm, located in Riverton, Wyoming, is part of our commitment to provide expert services even in smaller communities. The main market segments served by the Riverton firm include agriculture and energy, but because of its alliance with the Cheyenne firm, it cross-utilizes personnel to take advantage of firm-wide specialties.
