Twenty years ago, Jonath Jackson became a member of the DAPCPA team. I would like to take a moment and thank him for everything he has done to help build this firm.
When he started, he had just graduated from Chadron State College and DAPCPA was David A. Pope, CPA PC. Our office was in the old, dilapidated newspaper building on 17th Street in Cheyenne and every morning when we would come to work, there would be about a quarter of an inch of dust on all of our equipment because of the antiquated HVAC system. For three years, we were the cliche of "In the winter you freeze and the summer you fry." 
In spite of the accommodations, Jonath stayed with us, grew in the profession and grew his reputation within the community. In 2007 he was made a shareholder and has lived through all of the firms's ups and downs. He has seen the growth from that small three-office suite to a group of firms that encompasses two locations in Cheyenne, two locations in Colorado and a location in Riverton, Wyoming. Jonath's history has pretty much been the history of the firm itself.
Jonath's friendship, steady leadership, goodwill and humor have helped knit this firm into what it is today and we are all truly grateful. He has truly become family and we cannot imagine not having him be part of our lives.
Thank you, Jonath, for your twenty years of service, your dedication and your friendship. It has been an honor to watch you succeed.

The entire DAPCPA staff is very happy to welcome the arrival of Theodore James Young. Theodore was born last night at 9:45pm to Brandon and Nicole Young and weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

Cheyenne, WY June 17, 2015:  For the first time in four years, the DAPCPA group of CPA firms is providing a six week summer internship program and has selected Miranda Oliverius and Ellen Lee for this year’s program. Ms. Lee and Ms. Oliverius are scheduled to begin work during the week of June 22nd and will travel between all three offices, gaining experience in each aspect of the Firm’s business; including tax, audit, administration and client development. The interns were selected based on numerous factors, including academic excellence and civic involvement.


Miranda L. Oliverius is currently a junior at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota working on her Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Chinese. She graduated from Cheyenne’s East High School in 2013 and just returned from an extended trip to China. Her previous two summers have been spent as an administrative assistant and a communications intern and she has just accepted a leadership position in Concordia People Accounting, her University’s student accounting organization. 

Ellen H. Lee also graduated from Cheyenne’s East High and is a senior who is working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. She has worked the last three summers at Cheyenne Frontier Days, has a leadership position in the Epsilon Nu Tao business fraternity and works in the Davis Center, a student run portfolio management fund.

David Pope, President and CEO of the three firms said today that “We are very excited about the interns. They are both bright, intelligent and have great futures. Also, the creation of the internships reflects the firms’ commitment to providing opportunities for the next generation of accountants. The mere fact that we have Ms. Lee and Ms. Oliverius means we have a need to plan for our own growth, which is phenomenal. It demonstrates the remarkable demand for our brand of expertise and integrity in the Colorado and Wyoming marketplace.”

The DAPCPA group of CPA firms was formed in 1996 with three clients served by one firm located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Now there are offices in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Riverton, Wyoming and Winter Park, Colorado that serve more than 2,000 clients spread among all 50 states and several foreign countries.

The entire DAPCPA family is pleased to announce the birth of the newest member of our family; seven pound, thirteen ounce Charles J. Kopack III. Joey, as he will be called, was born today to DAPCPA staff accountant Toni Marie Kopack and her spouse, CJ. 

Mom, dad and baby are reportedly doing well.
