This is a wonderful moment for Nicole and Grace as well as the Winter Park firm. I very much look forward to the future of all of the firms and I know that both of them will remain huge assets to each firm as we move forward.

Cheyenne, WY June 17, 2015: For the first time in four years, the DAPCPA group of CPA firms is providing a six week summer internship program and has selected Miranda Oliverius and Ellen Lee for this year’s program. Ms. Lee and Ms. Oliverius are scheduled to begin work during the week of June 22nd and will travel between all three offices, gaining experience in each aspect of the Firm’s business; including tax, audit, administration and client development. The interns were selected based on numerous factors, including academic excellence and civic involvement.
Miranda L. Oliverius is currently a junior at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota working on her Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Chinese. She graduated from Cheyenne’s East High School in 2013 and just returned from an extended trip to China. Her previous two summers have been spent as an administrative assistant and a communications intern and she has just accepted a leadership position in Concordia People Accounting, her University’s student accounting organization.
Ellen H. Lee also graduated from Cheyenne’s East High and is a senior who is working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. She has worked the last three summers at Cheyenne Frontier Days, has a leadership position in the Epsilon Nu Tao business fraternity and works in the Davis Center, a student run portfolio management fund.
David Pope, President and CEO of the three firms said today that “We are very excited about the interns. They are both bright, intelligent and have great futures. Also, the creation of the internships reflects the firms’ commitment to providing opportunities for the next generation of accountants. The mere fact that we have Ms. Lee and Ms. Oliverius means we have a need to plan for our own growth, which is phenomenal. It demonstrates the remarkable demand for our brand of expertise and integrity in the Colorado and Wyoming marketplace.”
The DAPCPA group of CPA firms was formed in 1996 with three clients served by one firm located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Now there are offices in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Riverton, Wyoming and Winter Park, Colorado that serve more than 2,000 clients spread among all 50 states and several foreign countries.
David A. Pope is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Wyoming and Colorado and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. The partners and principals of the firm are as follows:
The entire DAPCPA family is pleased to announce the birth of the newest member of our family; seven pound, thirteen ounce Charles J. Kopack III. Joey, as he will be called, was born today to DAPCPA staff accountant Toni Marie Kopack and her spouse, CJ.
Mom, dad and baby are reportedly doing well.
DAPCPA-Riverton is seeking a CPA or CPA candidate to fill a long term position in Riverton, Wyoming. A Master's degree in accounting and ability to complete the CPA exam is required.
Riverton, Wyoming is a great place to raise a family and experience a lifestyle that is second-to-none. With camping, hunting and fishing in your own backyard, skiing in Jackson just down the road, and a low cost of living in a tax-free state, this is a great opportunity.
If you are willing to work hard, you will even be considered for a rapid track to partnership.
Applications will be taken through April 30th. Please e-mail a letter of interest along with a resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Riverton office changed locations recently, moving to a building more suited to our needs.
Carmen Milbury, staff manager and senior accountant for the firm, said the new office at 320 S. Federal Blvd. is smaller than the business' previous space on Washington Avenue.
"We did not need the huge office we were in," she said. "It's just the three of us."
The new building layout makes for more efficient operations as well, she continued.
"It's not all cut up, and it flows better," Milbury said. "For our size it's much more compatible."
Customers will notice a difference too. Milbury pointed out that accounting clients had to climb cement steps to access the CPA's old office. In the winter, the stairs could be treacherous, especially for the elderly.
The Federal Boulevard spot, in contrast, doesn't feature any stairs.
"It's much more convenient," Milbury said. "It makes me feel a whole lot better."

Here are a couple of pictures from tonight's open house at the Ed Murray campaign headquarters in Cheyenne. A beautiful evening and great company!
Congratulations to Nicole Young for passing the final part of the Uniform CPA exam.
Nicole is a senior staff accountant for DAPCPA Pope & Associates in Winter Park Colorado and has been with the DAPCPA group of firms since 2009. After graduating from the University of Wyoming, she started in the Riverton office of DAPCPA and relocated to the Winter Park office in 2013.
The CPA exam is often rated one of the toughest of the professional licensing examinations and is given in four parts over four separate sittings. Most states now require that a candidate have 150 hours of coursework with a concentration in business and accounting in order to sit for the exam.
Well done Nicole!
All the stuff we talk about around the water cooler.
